Gynecology and Obstetrics  

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology offers a comprehensive range of inpatient and outpatient services.  Services span the needs of women from their teen years, through pregnancy to menopause and beyond.  Routine screenings and checkups, as well as diagnostic workups for specialized problems, are available.  Extended antenatal care group discussions are held with patient for antennal care.

Specialized procedures to deal with ovarian cancer, reopening of blocked fallopian tubes etc. are also available.

Diagnostic and extended laparoscopies like Micro ovariotomies, ovarian cystectomy, adhesiolysis and salpingostomy or salpingectomy for ectopic pregnancies besides diagnosis of primary amenorrhea, infertility work up, tubectomy etc are also done.

Vaginal ultrasound for routine gynecological evaluation and follicular study, artificial insemination for oligospermia, HSG and fluoroscopic guided tubule re-canalization, Male infertility treatment through a testicular biopsy, Vasoepididomostomy, Variococelectomy, Mesa, Re-canalization etc. are also offered here.

The Gynecology and Obstetrics department serves as a referral centre for hospitals across the kingdom. The department has qualified specialists, specially trained nurses and latest equipments to deal with high risk pregnancy and pre-mature babies. It has a tertiary care obstetrics centre which offers extensive facilities for mother and child care.

Besides the above genetic counseling, routine pap smear, ovarian cancer screening, painless labour by epidural analgesia fetal monitoring and a Well Woman Clinic are the other facilities extended by this department.

Package deal for Normal Vaginal delivery is also available.  Prenatal group exercises & postnatal exercises in group are also arranged.
